OSUD SOCHY \/ THE STORY OF THE SCULPTURE<\/strong><\/p>\n

Kompozice pro atiku \u0160kodova pal\u00e1ce v Praze (1925\u20131927) hraje v d\u00edle O. Gutfreunda z\u00e1sadn\u00ed roli. Po skon\u010den\u00ed 1. sv\u011btov\u00e9 v\u00e1lky byl socha\u0159 oslovov\u00e1n pro ve\u0159ejn\u00e9 zak\u00e1zky, kter\u00e9 vy\u017eadovaly sp\u00ed\u0161e dekorativn\u00ed p\u0159\u00edstup k tvorb\u011b, co\u017e autora odv\u00e1d\u011blo od mo\u017enosti voln\u00e9ho vyj\u00e1d\u0159en\u00ed. Pr\u00e1ce na plastice pro \u0160kodovy z\u00e1vody pro Gutfreunda p\u0159edstavovala p\u0159\u00edle\u017eitost vymanit se z figurativn\u00edho civilismu. Autor zvolil velice inovativn\u00ed \u0159e\u0161en\u00ed \u010derpaj\u00edc\u00ed z nad\u0161en\u00ed pro techniku a estetiku stroj\u016f za vyu\u017eit\u00ed re\u00e1ln\u00fdch p\u0159edm\u011bt\u016f.<\/p>\n

P\u0159i studiu v\u00fdvoje n\u00e1vrh\u016f kompozice k t\u00e9to plastice m\u016f\u017eeme vid\u011bt, jak autor postupn\u011b upou\u0161t\u011bl od pr\u00e1ce s figurou, postavou d\u011bln\u00edka, pot\u00e9 in\u017een\u00fdra, kter\u00fd spl\u00fdv\u00e1 se strojem. Konstantn\u00edm prvkem v\u0161ech n\u00e1vrh\u016f v\u0161ak v\u017edy z\u016fstalo logo \u0160kodov\u00fdch z\u00e1vod\u016f v centr\u00e1ln\u00ed pozici kompozice. Z\u00e1v\u011bre\u010dn\u00fd n\u00e1vrh, kter\u00fd byl realizov\u00e1n pak pracuje se zv\u011bt\u0161en\u00fdmi koly z re\u00e1ln\u00e9 produkce \u0160kodov\u00fdch z\u00e1vod\u016f a hlavn\u00ed motiv plastiky lemovaly dva elegantn\u011b zak\u0159iven\u00e9 nosn\u00edky.
\n60. l\u00e9ta se pro tuto mimo\u0159\u00e1dnou socha\u0159skou pr\u00e1ci stala osudn\u00fdmi. Plastika byla sejmuta za \u00fa\u010delem nutn\u00e9 renovace z d\u016fvodu po\u0161kozen\u00e9ho materi\u00e1lu. Pot\u00e9 byla za nejasn\u00fdch okolnost\u00ed nedopat\u0159en\u00edm odvezena do sb\u011brn\u00fdch surovin, odkud u\u017e se nikdy zp\u011bt nevr\u00e1tila.<\/p>\n

Na\u0161\u00ed snahou je navr\u00e1tit v\u011brnou kopii slavn\u00e9 plastiky na jej\u00ed p\u016fvodn\u00ed m\u00edsto.<\/p>\n

THE STORY OF THE SCULPTURE<\/em> <\/em><\/p>\n

The composition for the attic of the \u0160koda Palace in Prague (1925\u20131927) plays an essential role in the work of O. Gutfreund. After the end of the First World War, the sculptor was frequently commissioned for public contracts that required a rather decorative approach, which led the author away from the possibility of free expression. Working on the sculpture for \u0160koda Works gave Gutfreund an opportunity to break free from figurative civilism. The author chose a very innovative solution, drawing on his enthusiasm for machinery and aesthetics of machines using real objects.<\/em> <\/em><\/p>\n

If we study the development of composition designs for this sculpture, we can see how the author has gradually abandoned work with a figure, a worker, then an engineer, who merges with the machine. However, the constant element of all designs has always remained the \u0160koda Works logo in the central position of the composition. The final design, which was eventually realized, works with enlarged wheels from the real \u0160koda Works production. The main motif of the sculpture was lined with two elegantly curved beams. <\/em><\/p>\n

The 1960s became fatal for this extraordinary work of art. The sculpture was removed for necessary renovation due to damaged material. Then, under unclear circumstances, it was accidentally taken to a scrapyard, from which it never came back.<\/em> <\/em><\/p>\n

Auction items listed in the electronic catalog, which is published on www.artinbox.cz<\/a>, <\/em>on web site of \u00a0OriginalArte: <\/em> <\/em>https:\/\/www.originalarte.com\/cs\/auction\/83-aukce-pro-gutfreuda\/small\/page-1<\/a> and on the Artinbox Gallery’s Facebook pages will be available for viewing in Artinbox Gallery, Perlov\u00e1 3, Prague 1 from 4th<\/sup> till 18th<\/sup> of December 2019, Tuesday – Thursday from 16 to 18 h, or by appointment (tel. +420 777 748 433). The auction will take place on March 18th<\/sup>, 2019, at 6 pm in the premises of Artinbox Gallery.<\/em><\/p>\n

2. Participants in the auction are obliged to prove their identity (national ID card, passport). It is possible to participate in the auction without a personal presence on the basis of a power of attorney that authorizes the authorized person to be represented at the auction. The power of attorney must include the catalog number, author, title of the work, and purchase limit. In the case of identical limits, the limit received earlier will take precedence. At a price equal to the limit, the auctioneer present in the hall takes precedence. The limits are kept secret.. Following a previous arrangement with the gallery, it is possible to participate in the auction by phone. In this case, it is necessary to register. \u00a0All requests must be registered with the gallery in person by 4 pm on December 18 2019.<\/em><\/p>\n

3.After calling up the catalog number, author and title of the work, the auction participants auction the work by visibly raising the auction number. The auction goes on if the participants make higher bids. A bid is binding for the bidder. The auctioneer must pay the auction price during or immediately after the auction has ended. This price is increased by an auction surcharge of 20%. In case of non-payment of the price within the specified period, the bid is canceled and the work is deemed as not auctioned off. The bidder is obliged to confirm receipt of the subject of the auction in writing. Any auction disputes are decided by the auction organizer. If the lowest submission has not been made, the item is considered not to be auctioned off. Unpaid works will be offered for sale at their respective starting prices from December 19, 2019, at a post-auction exhibition at Artinbox Gallery. Unpaid works can also be purchased by appointment until January 31, 2020.<\/em><\/p>\n

4. The works of art that are part of the auction are marked and described in the electronic auction catalog to the best of the auction organizers‘ knowledge and belief, but only according to the available information. Works are auctioned off irrespective of defects, deficiencies or possible misrepresentation. The catalog listing serves only to identify the work. Information regarding authorship, authenticity, origin, date or pricing is based on the views of the owners of the works, but the auction participants must be familiar with the status of the works themselves, and it is up to them to decide whether the subject matter corresponds with its respective description. All claims for replacement are hereby excluded.
\nThe auction surcharge is 20%.<\/em><\/p>\n

5. Participants in the auction confirm these rules as binding by their signature of thereof.<\/em><\/p>\n
