P\u0159edstav\u00ed d\u011bn\u00ed v na\u0161\u00ed zemi od let prvn\u00ed republiky, p\u0159es obdob\u00ed dvou totalit &#8211; nacistick\u00e9 a komunistick\u00e9, a\u017e po euforii porevolu\u010dn\u00edch 90. let minul\u00e9ho stolet\u00ed, to v\u0161e na pozad\u00ed osobn\u00edho p\u0159\u00edb\u011bhu fotografa. Jan Lukas d\u00edky sv\u00e9mu talentu, p\u00edli, zv\u011bdavosti i \u0161t\u011bst\u00ed, vytvo\u0159il pozoruhodn\u00e9 d\u00edlo, kter\u00e9 na \u00fachvatn\u00fdch sn\u00edmc\u00edch mapuje na\u0161i historii v pr\u016fb\u011bhu t\u00e9m\u011b\u0159 t\u0159i\u010dtvrt\u011b stolet\u00ed.<br \/>\nThis exhibition of photographs by Jan Lukas (1915-2006) marks the 100th Anniversary of the founding of Czechoslovakia. It documents some of the historical events of our new country from the First Republic through the two totalitarian regimes, the Nazi and the communist one, all the way to the euphoria of the post Velvet Revolution period of the 1990s &#8211; and it does so in the form of a personal visual story. Byl fotografickou legendou &#8211; jeden z prvn\u00edch tv\u016frc\u016f, zakladatel\u016f \u010desk\u00e9 fotoreport\u00e9rsk\u00e9 tradice a humanitn\u00ed fotografie. V jeho dokument\u00e1rn\u00edch sn\u00edmc\u00edch se mu povedlo zachytit minul\u00e9 stolet\u00ed v \u0161\u00ed\u0159i a hloubce, jakou t\u011b\u017eko nalezneme u jin\u00e9ho \u010desk\u00e9ho fotografa. Na\u0161e v\u00fdstava p\u0159edstavuje dobu, kdy se vznikl n\u00e1\u0161 st\u00e1t a pr\u016fb\u011bh toho, kdy se mnohdy dramaticky a\u017e tragicky tvo\u0159ili na\u0161e novodob\u00e9 d\u011bjiny. Navazujeme na n\u00e1\u0161 \u00fasp\u011b\u0161n\u00fd v\u00fdstavn\u00ed projekt Jan Lukas Lid\u00e9 (1930 \u2013 1995) z\u00a0roku 2015, tentokr\u00e1t jsme se v\u0161ak soust\u0159edili na plastick\u00fd obraz v\u00fdvoje zem\u011b, kter\u00fd se Janu Lukasovi povedlo fotograficky zachytit na sn\u00edmc\u00edch z let 1929 \u2013 1995. V\u00fdstavu jsme \u010dlenili do n\u011bkolika celk\u016f. Ve foyer p\u0159edstavujeme Lukasovy portr\u00e9ty osobnost\u00ed, kter\u00e9 v\u00fdrazn\u011b na\u0161\u00ed historii ovlivnili, a to jak politik\u016f: T.G. Masaryk, Edvard Bene\u0161, Klement Gottwald, V\u00e1clav Havel\u2026 tak duchovn\u00edch: rab\u00edn Sicher, kardin\u00e1l Beran\u2026 Hlavn\u00ed s\u00e1l chronologicky p\u0159edstavuje \u010ceskoslovensko let 1929 a\u017e 1965, tato \u010d\u00e1st zahrnuje idylick\u00e9 sn\u00edmky z\u00a0obdob\u00ed prvn\u00ed republiky po\u0159\u00edzen\u00e9 v\u00a0Ji\u017en\u00edch \u010cech\u00e1ch, v\u00a0Praze, na Morav\u011b a Slovensku\u2026 Podstatnou \u010d\u00e1st\u00ed na\u0161eho projektu je roz\u0161\u00ed\u0159en\u00fd Pra\u017esk\u00fd den\u00edk, kter\u00fd zachycuje obdob\u00ed nacistick\u00e9 invaze a posl\u00e9ze komunistick\u00e9 diktatury. Najdeme zde sn\u00edmky ze Sudet, kter\u00e9 Jan Lukas dokumentoval b\u011bhem nat\u00e1\u010den\u00ed filmu Krize s\u00a0Herbertem Klinem a Alexandrem Hackenschmiedem v\u00a0roce 1938, pak fotografie Prahy okupovan\u00e9 hitlerovsk\u00fdmi vojsky, euforie roku 1945, konce v\u00e1lky a n\u00e1sledn\u00e9 nevesel\u00e9 ud\u00e1losti: m\u011bnov\u00e1 reforma v roku 1945, volby 1946, posledn\u00ed V\u0161esokolsk\u00fd slet v\u00a0roce 1948, smrt Jana Masaryka, poh\u0159eb Edvarda Bene\u0161e a pak tvrd\u00fd n\u00e1stup komunistick\u00e9 diktatury v\u00a050. letech. Rok 1965 je posledn\u00ed, kdy autor dokumentoval d\u011bn\u00ed v\u00a0\u010ceskoslovensku. Ke sv\u00fdm 50. narozenin\u00e1m si nad\u011blil dramatick\u00fd \u00fat\u011bk s\u00a0rodinou do It\u00e1lie, kde \u017eil a\u017e do roku 1966 v\u00a0uprchlick\u00e9m t\u00e1bo\u0159e. V roku 1966 se mu povedlo odjet s\u00a0rodinou do USA, kde \u017eil a\u017e do sv\u00e9 smrti v\u00a0roce 2006. Zde vytvo\u0159il dal\u0161\u00ed unik\u00e1tn\u00ed sn\u00edmky, kter\u00e9 se v\u00e1\u017eou na \u010deskoslovenskou historii. Zachytil t\u0159eba redaktora Jana Plannera v redakci r\u00e1dia Svobodn\u00e1 Evropa, fotografoval newyorskou demonstraci za osvobozen\u00ed V\u00e1clava Havla v\u00a0roku 1980, ale hlavn\u011b n\u00e1v\u0161t\u011bvu V\u00e1clava Havla v\u00a0New Yorku v\u00a0dubnu 1968, kdy se zde mlad\u00fd dramatik a spisovatel potkal nap\u0159\u00edklad s\u00a0Ferdinandem Peroutkou, Ji\u0159\u00edm Voskovcem, Milo\u0161em Formanem a dal\u0161\u00edmi. Jan Lukas pak byl se sv\u00fdm fotoapar\u00e1tem tak\u00e9 u prvn\u00ed porevolu\u010dn\u00ed n\u00e1v\u0161t\u011bv\u011b Havla coby \u010derstv\u00e9ho prezidenta v\u00a0USA, kde ho fotografoval jak v\u00a0B\u00edl\u00e9m dom\u011b, tak u slavn\u00e9ho projevu pro Americk\u00fd kongres v\u00a0roce 1990. Fotografi\u00ed V\u00e1clava Havla na Pra\u017esk\u00e9m hrad\u011b z\u00a0roku 1995 Jan Lukas tuto svoj\u00ed fotografickou kapitolu ukon\u010dil.<\/p>\n<p>Mal\u00fd s\u00e1l galerie Artinbox nab\u00eddne fotografie, kter\u00e9 se v\u00e1\u017eou k\u00a0soukrom\u00e9mu \u017eivotu fotografa. Na fotografi\u00edch zde objev\u00edme Jana Wericha, Ji\u0159\u00edho Voskovce, Miroslava Horn\u00ed\u010dka, Ji\u0159\u00edho Such\u00e9ho, Ji\u0159\u00edho \u0160litra, Martina Str\u00e1nsk\u00e9ho, Waldemara Matu\u0161ku, Hanu Hegerovou, Ivo Duch\u00e1\u010dka, Milo\u0161e Formana, Luise Armstronga, Nichaela Douglase a dal\u0161\u00ed.<\/p>\n<p>Mnoh\u00e9 napadne, jak je v\u016fbec mo\u017en\u00e9 b\u011bhem jednoho \u017eivota vytvo\u0159it tak obs\u00e1hl\u00e9 a kvalitn\u00ed d\u00edlo sahaj\u00edc\u00ed skrz t\u00e9m\u011b\u0159 cel\u00e9 t\u0159i\u010dtvrt\u011bstolet\u00ed? Kdo byl Jan Lukas, odkud poch\u00e1zel?<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201eJe dobr\u00e9 \u017e\u00edt d\u00e9le, \u010dlov\u011bk se do\u010dk\u00e1 v\u011bc\u00ed ne\u010dekan\u00fdch.\u201c Jan Lukas<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Narozen v\u00a0\u010cesk\u00fdch Bud\u011bjovic\u00edch za vl\u00e1dy Franti\u0161ka Josefa I., um\u0159el v\u00a0New Yorku v\u00a0roce 2005 v po\u017eehnan\u00e9m v\u011bku 91 let. Pro\u017eil \u017eivot zaj\u00edmav\u00fd, pln\u00fd zvrat\u016f a p\u0159ekvapen\u00ed. Kdy\u017e se do st\u0159edostavovsk\u00e9 rodiny Lukasov\u00fdch v\u00a0\u010cesk\u00fdch Bud\u011bjovic\u00edch v\u00a0tehdej\u0161\u00edm Rakousku \u2013 Uhersku narodil syn Jan, Evropu u\u017e rok su\u017eovala 1. sv\u011btov\u00e1 v\u00e1lka. Klukovi byly t\u0159i roky, kdy\u017e v\u00e1lka skon\u010dila. Jeho rodn\u00fd st\u00e1t se rozpadl a Jan se stal ob\u010d\u00e1nkem nov\u011b vznikl\u00e9ho \u010ceskoslovenska. Nastala doba prvn\u00ed republiky, dnes popisov\u00e1na jako doba klidu a pov\u00e1le\u010dn\u00e9ho rozvoje. Prezident T. G. Masaryk a jeho protip\u00f3l Edvard Bene\u0161 vedli st\u00e1t k\u00a0prosperit\u011b.<\/p>\n<p>T\u0159i roky po vzniku \u010ceskoslovenska se rodina Lukasov\u00fdch p\u0159est\u011bhovala z\u00a0\u010cesk\u00fdch Bud\u011bjovic do Prahy.\u00a0 Kdy\u017e bylo Janu Lukasovi 12 let, dostal od sv\u00e9ho str\u00fdce d\u00e1rek, kter\u00fd ur\u010dil, kam se jeho \u017eivot bude ub\u00edrat \u2013 sv\u016fj prvn\u00ed fotoapar\u00e1t. Pro fotografii se nadchnul, fotil lidi, krajinu, z\u00e1ti\u0161\u00ed\u2026 \u00a0Jako mlad\u00fd talent vyhr\u00e1l 6. cenu ve fotografick\u00e9 sout\u011b\u017ei firmy Kodak. V\u00a0roce 1932 byl p\u0159ijat za nejmlad\u0161\u00edho \u010dlena legend\u00e1rn\u00edho Klubu fotograf\u016f amat\u00e9r\u016f na Nek\u00e1zance a ocitl se tak ve spole\u010dnosti fotograf\u016f, jako byli: K. H\u00e1jek, V. J\u00edr\u016f, J. Jen\u00ed\u010dek, P. Koblic\u2026. Inspirovala ho tvorba Andr\u00e9 Kert\u00e9sze a Brassa<strong>\u00ef<\/strong>ho, jeho sn\u00edmky se za\u010daly objevovat v\u00a0prvn\u00edch \u010desk\u00fdch\u00a0obr\u00e1zkov\u00fdch \u010dasopisech (Eva, Ahoj na ned\u011bli). V\u00a0letech 1935 -1936 se stal studentem v\u00edde\u0148sk\u00e9 grafick\u00e9 \u0161koly, spolupracoval s\u00a0tamn\u00edmi \u010dasopisy. V\u00a0letech 1936 &#8211; 1938 z\u00edskal m\u00edsto fotografa a kameramana u firmy Ba\u0165a ve Zl\u00edn\u011b, sezn\u00e1mil se tak s\u00a0A. Hackenschmiedem, K. Ludwigem, J. Sudkem a dal\u0161\u00edmi. Reklama Silnice zp\u00edv\u00e1, kterou pro firmu Ba\u0165a vytvo\u0159ili spolu s\u00a0A. Hackenschmiedem, z\u00edskala Zlatou medaili sv\u011btov\u00e9 v\u00fdstav\u011b v\u00a0Pa\u0159\u00ed\u017ei v\u00a0roce1937.<\/p>\n<p>P\u0159esto ho fotografie l\u00e1kala v\u00edc ne\u017e kamera a jeho fotografick\u00e1 tvorba postupn\u011b z\u00edsk\u00e1vala respekt. Stal se \u010dlenem skupiny Sedm v\u00a0\u0159\u00edjnu (A. Paderl\u00edk, Z. Seydl, J. Liesler a dal\u0161\u00ed), v\u00a0\u0159\u00edjnu 1939 spolu vystavovali v\u00a0legend\u00e1rn\u00edm pra\u017esk\u00e9m Topi\u010dov\u011b sal\u00f3nu.<\/p>\n<p>Koncem 30. let politick\u00e1 situace postupn\u011b p\u0159est\u00e1v\u00e1 d\u00e1vat podn\u011bty k\u00a0optimismu. Lukas se rozhodl zaznamen\u00e1vat spole\u010densk\u00e9 d\u011bn\u00ed v\u00a0ulic\u00edch.\u00a0 Od roku 1938 tak za\u010daly vznikat z\u00e1b\u011bry unik\u00e1tn\u00edho Pra\u017esk\u00e9ho den\u00edku, kter\u00fd se datoval a\u017e do roku 1965, kdy se Jan Lukas vydal do emigrace. Sn\u00edmky zachycuj\u00ed n\u00e1stup dvou totalitn\u00edch re\u017eim\u016f: n\u00e1stup a por\u00e1\u017eku nacizmu a uchopen\u00ed moci komunisty. Na sn\u00edmc\u00edch se mihnou tv\u00e1\u0159e z\u00a0davu i tv\u016frci t\u011bchto d\u011bjin: T. G. Masaryk, Edward Bene\u0161, arcibskup Josef Beran, vrchn\u00ed rab\u00edn \u010desk\u00fdch zem\u00ed Dr. Sicher, Jan Masaryk, gener\u00e1l Dwight D. Eisenhower\u2026 posl\u00e9ze vyst\u0159\u00edd\u00e1ni Klementem Gottwaldem, pota\u017emo J. V. Stalinem.<\/p>\n<p>V\u00a0letech 1944 -1945 se k\u00a0neut\u011b\u0161en\u00e9 politick\u00e9 situaci p\u0159id\u00e1v\u00e1 nemoc &#8211; komplikovan\u00fd z\u00e1n\u011bt kostn\u00ed d\u0159en\u011b t\u00e9m\u011b\u0159 p\u0159ipravil t\u0159icetilet\u00e9ho Jana Lukase o \u017eivot. Tato indispozice rovn\u011b\u017e zabr\u00e1nila vzniku dov\u011btku k\u00a0slavn\u00e9 fotografii rodinn\u00fdch p\u0159\u00e1tel Vogelov\u00fdch, kter\u00e9 fotil v\u00a0roce 1942 p\u0159ed transportem do Terez\u00edna. Kdy\u017e se povedlo Vendulce Vogelov\u00e9 a jej\u00ed m\u00e1m\u011b ut\u00e9ct z\u00a0pochodu smrti a vr\u00e1tily se do Prahy, cht\u011bly se nechat op\u011bt vyfotografovat, ov\u0161em Jan Lukas v\u00a0t\u00e9 dob\u011b z\u00e1pasil o sv\u016fj \u017eivot v\u00a0pardubick\u00e9 nemocnici. Nicm\u00e9n\u011b fotografie dvan\u00e1ctilet\u00e9 Vendulky Vogelov\u00e9 p\u0159ed transportem se stala mo\u017en\u00e1 nejslavn\u011bj\u0161\u00ed Lukasovou fotografi\u00ed a oblet\u011bla sv\u011bt. Zde v katalogu ji doprov\u00e1z\u00ed i fotografie, kde je Vendulka s\u00a0rodi\u010di. Tat\u00ednek se u\u017e z\u00a0transportu nevr\u00e1til.<\/p>\n<p>V\u00a0roce 1946 se Jan Lukas o\u017eenil s\u00a0Milenou Nocarovou. V\u00a0roce 1947 se jim narodila dcera Jana, v\u00a0roce 1950 dcera Helena.<\/p>\n<p>Po komunistick\u00e9m pu\u010di v\u00a0roce 1948 zanikly obr\u00e1zkov\u00e9 \u010dasopisy, kter\u00e9 d\u00e1valy Janu Lukasovi ob\u017eivu, nicm\u00e9n\u011b v\u00a0roce 1949 se stal \u010dlenem Svazu \u010ds. v\u00fdtvarn\u00fdch um\u011blc\u016f a sm\u011bl tak p\u016fsobit ve svobodn\u00e9m povol\u00e1n\u00ed. Nach\u00e1zel si skuliny v\u00a0re\u017eimem se\u0161roubovan\u00fdch pom\u011brech a povedlo se mu vydat n\u011bkolik fotografick\u00fdch publikac\u00ed s\u00a0r\u016fzn\u00fdmi\u00a0n\u00e1m\u011bty: d\u011bti, barokn\u00ed architektura a socha\u0159stv\u00ed, pra\u017esk\u00e9 \u017eidovsk\u00e9 ghetto\u2026 Nad\u00e1le se v\u011bnoval t\u00e9mat\u016fm lid\u00ed, krajiny, m\u011bsta. V\u00a0roce 1958 se na sv\u011btov\u00e9 v\u00fdstav\u011b Expo 58 v\u00a0Bruselu prom\u00edtaly Lukasovy sn\u00edmky v\u00a0divadle Laterna Magica. V\u00a0roce 1962 byla v\u00a0desetitis\u00edcov\u00e9m n\u00e1kladu vyti\u0161t\u011bna fotografick\u00e1 publikace Moskva. Cel\u00fd n\u00e1klad a\u017e na p\u00e1r exempl\u00e1\u0159\u016f byl pot\u00e9 kompletn\u011b zlikvidov\u00e1n. Jeden\u00e1ct m\u011bs\u00edc\u016f str\u00e1vili v\u00a0italsk\u00e9m uprchlick\u00e9m t\u00e1bo\u0159e, kde vznikl pozoruhodn\u00fd fotografick\u00fd dokument: Italsk\u00fd denn\u00edk. V\u00a0t\u00e9 dob\u011b bylo v\u00a0jeho pra\u017esk\u00e9m byt\u011b ukradeno a zni\u010deno na 200\u00a0000 negativ\u016f. Na\u0161t\u011bst\u00ed ty nejcenn\u011bj\u0161\u00ed se mu za pomoci p\u0159\u00e1tel povedlo zachr\u00e1nit.<\/p>\n<p>V\u00a0roce 1966 za\u010d\u00edn\u00e1 Jan Lukas nov\u00fd svobodn\u00fd \u017eivot ve vysn\u011bn\u00e9m New Yorku, 26. srpna 1971 z\u00edsk\u00e1v\u00e1 americk\u00e9 ob\u010danstv\u00ed.<\/p>\n<p>Na Manhattanu, nejlep\u0161\u00edm nov\u00e9m domov\u011b, jak\u00fd si mohl vysn\u00edt, potkal star\u00e9 i nov\u00e9 p\u0159\u00e1tele: A. Hackenschmieda, A. Kert\u00e9sze, J. Voskovce, M. Formana, V. Havla&#8230; Fotografoval d\u00e1l, pracoval hlavn\u011b pro National Review (p\u0159es 100 tituln\u00edch str\u00e1nek), ale i pro dal\u0161\u00ed periodika. Fotografoval prezidenty Kennedyho, Nixona, Reagana a dal\u0161\u00ed politick\u00e9 a kulturn\u00ed osobnosti\u2026 Paraleln\u011b pokra\u010doval v\u00a0pr\u00e1ci na fotografick\u00fdch cyklech: Ostrovan\u00e9, Amerika podle Kafky, Pompeje \/ Manhattan\u2026<\/p>\n<p>V\u00a0porevolu\u010dn\u00edm roce 1990 se Jan Lukas op\u011bt pod\u00edval do Prahy. Nov\u011b vznikl\u00e1 Asociace fotograf\u016f \u010cesk\u00e9 republiky mu ud\u011blila \u010destn\u00e9 \u010dlenstv\u00ed. V\u00a0tomt\u00e9\u017e roce op\u011bt fotografuje V\u00e1clava Havla, tentokr\u00e1t jeho n\u00e1v\u0161t\u011bvu v\u00a0B\u00edl\u00e9m dom\u011b a slavn\u00fd projev v\u00a0Kongresu Spojen\u00fdch st\u00e1t\u016f. Z\u00a0roku 1995 poch\u00e1z\u00ed Lukasova \u201enejmlad\u0161\u00ed\u201c fotografie v\u00a0t\u00e9to publikaci &#8211; portr\u00e9t V\u00e1clava Havla, tentokr\u00e1t jako prezidenta na pra\u017esk\u00e9m Hrad\u011b.<\/p>\n<p>Zde se kruh uzav\u00edr\u00e1.\u00a0 Nev\u00eddan\u00e1 soustavnost, zv\u011bdavost, talent a pracovitost pomohly Janu Lukasovi vytvo\u0159it pozoruhodn\u00e9 d\u00edlo mapuj\u00edc\u00ed na\u0161i historii b\u011bhem sedmi desetilet\u00ed. \u00a0Z\u00a0jeho sn\u00edmk\u016f je patrn\u00e1 empatie a laskavost. proto jsme se p\u0159i p\u0159\u00edle\u017eitosti 100. v\u00fdro\u010d\u00ed narozen\u00ed autora rozhodli zap\u00e1trat v\u00a0archivu a vyhledat sn\u00edmky, kde se na postav\u00e1ch a
