He belonged among the most important\u00a0personalities of Czech film and photographic avant-garde and became one of the few Czech AcademyAward winners, receiving an Oscar for the film Live! Pat\u0159il k nejv\u00fdznamn\u011bj\u0161\u00edm osobnostem \u010desk\u00e9 filmov\u00e9 a fotografick\u00e9 avantgardy a stal se jedn\u00edm z m\u00e1la \u010desk\u00fdch dr\u017eitel\u016f ceny americk\u00e9 filmov\u00e9 akademie Oscar za film \u017d\u00edt!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Alexandr Hackenschmied \/ Hammid (1907\u20132004) <\/strong>se fotografii intenzivn\u011b v\u011bnoval jen n\u011bkolik let a jeho fotografick\u00e1 tvorba t\u011bsn\u011b p\u0159il\u00e9h\u00e1 k jeho tvorb\u011b filmov\u00e9, od n\u00ed\u017e ji nikdy nelze zcela odd\u011blit. Vizualita jeho fotografi\u00ed a film\u016f v\u00a0sob\u011b p\u0159edj\u00edm\u00e1 v\u00fdvoj kultury podstatn\u00e9 \u010d\u00e1sti minul\u00e9ho stolet\u00ed, zalo\u017een\u00e9ho pr\u00e1v\u011b na obrazech, a to v m\u00ed\u0159e do t\u00e9 doby nev\u00eddan\u00e9. V\u00fdstava v\u00a0Artinbox Gallery p\u0159edstavuje jeho fotografickou tvorbu od ran\u00fdch za\u010d\u00e1tk\u016f v\u00a0\u010cech\u00e1ch koncem dvac\u00e1t\u00fdch a za\u010d\u00e1tkem t\u0159ic\u00e1t\u00fdch let minul\u00e9ho stolet\u00ed, kdy mj. jako fotograf spolupracoval s \u010dasopisem Pestr\u00fd t\u00fdden, pot\u00e9 fotografie z\u00a0roku 1936, kdy doprov\u00e1zel Jana Anton\u00edna Ba\u0165u na jeho \u201ecest\u011b kolem sv\u011bta\u201c, konkr\u00e9tn\u011b sn\u00edmky z USA a Francie, dale fotografie z\u00a0Prahy, Lond\u00fdna a Pa\u0159\u00ed\u017ee v roce 1939, a n\u00e1sledn\u011b jeho tvorbu pot\u00e9, co koncem roku 1939 emigroval do USA. Samostatnou kapitolou jsou fotografie z\u00a0nat\u00e1\u010den\u00ed experiment\u00e1ln\u00edch film\u016f s\u00a0Mayou Deren: Odpoledn\u00ed osidla a Na sou\u0161i z\u00a0let 1944 a 1945 a rovn\u011b\u017e portr\u00e9ty a akty, kter\u00e9 spole\u010dn\u011b vytvo\u0159ili, a kter\u00e9 pat\u0159\u00ed k\u00a0jeho nejzn\u00e1m\u011bj\u0161\u00edm a\u017e ikonick\u00fdm sn\u00edmk\u016fm. Nakonec p\u0159edstav\u00edme n\u011bkolik fotografi\u00ed z cest do Mexika v roce 1940, a rovn\u011b\u017e posledn\u00ed Hackenschmiedovu fotografickou tvorbu z cesty do Kambod\u017ee v roce 1959. Pot\u00e9 se autor pln\u011b soust\u0159edil u\u017e jenom na tvorbu filmovou a fotografii se t\u00e9m\u011b\u0159 nev\u011bnoval.<\/p>\n<p>Alexandr Hackenschmied (narozen v r. 1907 v Linci jako Alexander Siegfried Georg \u0160mahel, po s\u0148atku sv\u00fdch rodi\u010d\u016f p\u0159ejmenov\u00e1n na Alexandra Hackenschmieda, od roku 1947 jako americk\u00fd ob\u010dan vystupuje pod jm\u00e9nem Alexander \/ Sascha Hammid) pat\u0159\u00ed k zakladatelsk\u00fdm tv\u016fr\u010d\u00edm i organiz\u00e1torsk\u00fdm osobnostem modern\u00ed \u010desk\u00e9 fotografie i filmu.<\/p>\n<p>Od konce dvac\u00e1t\u00fdch let publikoval v tehdej\u0161\u00edch \u010dasopisech fotografie ve stylu \u201enov\u00e9 v\u011bcnosti\u201c a z\u00e1rove\u0148 se postupn\u011b uplat\u0148oval ve filmov\u00e9 profesi. V pr\u016fb\u011bhu t\u0159ic\u00e1t\u00fdch let se pak stal jedn\u00edm z nejv\u00fdznamn\u011bj\u0161\u00edch \u010desk\u00fdch filma\u0159\u016f, od \u010dty\u0159ic\u00e1t\u00fdch let se prosadil v USA jako autor dokument\u00e1rn\u00edch a experiment\u00e1ln\u00edch film\u016f. O fotografii i film se Hackenschmied zaj\u00edmal u\u017e v pr\u016fb\u011bhu sv\u00fdch st\u0159edo\u0161kolsk\u00fdch studi\u00ed, oba z\u00e1jmy za\u010dal d\u016frazn\u011bji rozv\u00edjet ji\u017e koncem dvac\u00e1t\u00fdch let ovlivn\u011bn mat\u010dinou prac\u00ed redaktorky v redakci magaz\u00ednu Pestr\u00fd t\u00fdden, pro kter\u00fd pozd\u011bji taky pracoval a uve\u0159ej\u0148oval zde sv\u00e9 fotografie.<\/p>\n<p>Na p\u0159elomu dvac\u00e1t\u00fdch a t\u0159ic\u00e1t\u00fdch let se A.H. v\u011bnoval fotografii s velk\u00fdm nad\u0161en\u00edm. V\u00fdznamn\u00fdm impulsem pro n\u011bj byla n\u00e1v\u0161t\u011bva v\u00fdstavy Film und Foto ve Stuttgartu v roce 1929. Sv\u00e9 fotografie vystavoval na v\u00fdstav\u00e1ch a rovn\u011b\u017e publikoval v mnoha \u010dasopisech, p\u0159edev\u0161\u00edm v domovsk\u00e9m Pestr\u00e9m t\u00fddnu. Ji\u017e roku 1928 spolupracuje Hackenschmied jako pomocn\u00fd architekt s Gustavem Machat\u00fdm na filmu Erotikon a postupn\u011b se dost\u00e1v\u00e1 mezi filmov\u00e9 profesion\u00e1ly.<\/p>\n<p>V roce 1930 tak\u00e9 nato\u010dil sv\u016fj prvn\u00ed autorsk\u00fd film Bez\u00fa\u010deln\u00e1 proch\u00e1zka, kter\u00fd uvedl na prvn\u00edm ze \u010dty\u0159 j\u00edm organizovan\u00fdch t\u00fddn\u016f nez\u00e1visl\u00e9ho filmu v kin\u011b Kotva. V prvn\u00ed polovin\u011b t\u0159ic\u00e1t\u00fdch let se pod\u00edlel na n\u011bkolika dal\u0161\u00edch vlastn\u00edch i ciz\u00edch filmech, mimo jin\u00e9 p\u0159isp\u011bl radik\u00e1ln\u00edm st\u0159ihov\u00fdm \u0159e\u0161en\u00edm k filmu Zem spieva K. Plicky, ocen\u011bn\u00e9m v roce 1934 Zlat\u00fdm poh\u00e1rem na festivalu v Ben\u00e1tk\u00e1ch. V kv\u011btnu 1930 uspo\u0159\u00e1dal A.H.\u00a0 p\u0159elomovou v\u00fdstavu Nov\u00e1 \u010desk\u00e1 fotografie, kter\u00e1 znamenala prvn\u00ed spole\u010dn\u00e9 vystoupen\u00ed nejv\u00fdznamn\u011bj\u0161\u00edch z\u00e1stupc\u016f \u010desk\u00e9 fotografick\u00e9 avantgardy, mezi nimi\u017e byli krom\u011b n\u011bj a jeho p\u0159\u00e1tel L. E. Berky a J. Lehovce zastoupeni tak\u00e9 J. Sudek, J. Funke, J. R\u00f6ssler a dal\u0161\u00ed.<\/p>\n<p>Pat\u0159il jak k p\u0159edn\u00edm pr\u016fkopn\u00edk\u016fm \u201enov\u00e9 fotografie\u201c, tak i k p\u0159edn\u00edm autor\u016fm u\u017eit\u00e9 fotografie. Sn\u00edmky z jeho nejran\u011bj\u0161\u00edho a nejintenzivn\u011bj\u0161\u00edho fotografick\u00e9ho obdob\u00ed v\u0161ak bohu\u017eel zn\u00e1me p\u0159ev\u00e1\u017en\u011b jen z \u010dasopisecky publikovan\u00fdch prac\u00ed, negativy ani origin\u00e1ly fotografi\u00ed se nedochovaly.<\/p>\n<p>V letech 1935-39 se spole\u010dn\u011b s E. Klosem, L. Koldou F. Pil\u00e1tem, P. Hrdli\u010dkou a J. Lukasem pod\u00edl\u00ed na za\u010d\u00e1tc\u00edch Ba\u0165ova zl\u00ednsk\u00e9ho filmov\u00e9ho studia a vytv\u00e1\u0159\u00ed zde mno\u017estv\u00ed dodnes cen\u011bn\u00fdch reklamn\u00edch a propaga\u010dn\u00edch sn\u00edmk\u016f. Reklamn\u00ed film Silnice zp\u00edv\u00e1, byl v roce 1937 ocen\u011bn na Sv\u011btov\u00e9 v\u00fdstav\u011b v Pa\u0159\u00ed\u017ei. Unik\u00e1tn\u00ed negativy z cesty \u010dlen\u016f Ba\u0165ova filmov\u00e9ho studia do Spojen\u00fdch st\u00e1t\u016f v roce 1936 byly objeveny ve Zl\u00edn\u011b a\u017e v roce 1999. V r\u00e1mci zl\u00ednsk\u00e9ho anga\u017em\u00e1 prov\u00e1z\u00ed tak\u00e9 Hackenschmied v roce 1937 J. Ba\u0165u na zahrani\u010dn\u00ed cesty do It\u00e1lie a Indie, odkud p\u0159iv\u00e1\u017e\u00ed rozs\u00e1hlou filmovou i fotografickou dokumentaci (pozd\u011bji zpracovanou E. Klosem do t\u0159\u00ed film\u016f). Unik\u00e1tn\u00ed negativy z cesty \u010dlen\u016f Ba\u0165ova filmov\u00e9ho studia do Spojen\u00fdch st\u00e1t\u016f v r. 1936 byly objeveny ve Zl\u00edn\u011b a\u017e v roce 1999. Ukazuj\u00ed jak okouzlen\u00ed americk\u00fdm \u017eivotn\u00edm stylem, tak i odstup Evropana v\u016f\u010di mohutn\u00e9 americk\u00e9 kultu\u0159e.<\/p>\n<p>Po spolupr\u00e1ci na filmu Krize re\u017eis\u00e9ra Herberta Klinea, pojedn\u00e1vaj\u00edc\u00edm o n\u011bmeck\u00e9 anexi pohrani\u010d\u00ed, pob\u00fdv\u00e1 na \u00fat\u011bku p\u0159ed fa\u0161ismem od \u00fanora do \u010dervna 1939 v Pa\u0159\u00ed\u017ei. Jako n\u00e1hl\u00fd b\u011b\u017eenec se v okam\u017eiku propukaj\u00edc\u00edho konfliktu obrac\u00ed po letech op\u011bt k fotografii. Vznik\u00e1 v\u00fdjime\u010dn\u00fd soubor fotografi\u00ed, kter\u00e9 jako by se lou\u010dily s d\u011bdictv\u00edm fotografick\u00e9 avantgardy. Koncem roku 1939 odj\u00ed\u017ed\u00ed p\u0159es Lond\u00fdn do New Yorku, kde za\u010d\u00edn\u00e1 spolupracovat na dal\u0161\u00edch projektech s H. Klinem, mimo jin\u00e9 na filmu na libreto J. Steinbecka Zapomenut\u00e1 vesnice (Forgotten Village) v Mexiku.<\/p>\n<p>Roku 1942 se v Hollywoodu seznamuje s\u00a0Eleanorou Derenkovskou, pozd\u011bji Mayou Deren, rusko &#8211; americkou tane\u010dnic\u00ed a b\u00e1sn\u00ed\u0159kou. Spole\u010dn\u011b nat\u00e1\u010dej\u00ed m.j. jedno ze zakladatelsk\u00fdch d\u011bl americk\u00e9ho nez\u00e1visl\u00e9ho filmu Meshes of the Afternoon. Ze setk\u00e1n\u00ed s Mayou Deren vznikla nejen kl\u00ed\u010dov\u00e1 d\u00edla nez\u00e1visl\u00e9 kinematografie, ale i po\u010detn\u00e1 \u0159ada civiln\u00edch fotografick\u00fdch portr\u00e9t\u016f, akt\u016f i aran\u017eovan\u00fdch sn\u00edmk\u016f inspirovan\u00fdch spole\u010dnou filmovou tvorbou. V roce 1943 se Hackenschmied st\u011bhuje tentokr\u00e1t u\u017e natrvalo do New Yorku.<\/p>\n<p>Na prvn\u00edch t\u0159ech filmech s Alexandrem Hammidem a Mayou Deren spolupracovala fotografka a kameramanka n\u011bmeck\u00e9ho p\u016fvodu Hella Heyman. Po rozchodu s Mayou se Alexander a Hella sbl\u00ed\u017eili a v roce 1948 se stali man\u017eeli. V roce 1950 se jim narodila dcera Julia a v roce 1952 syn Tino. Hella se za\u010d\u00edn\u00e1 naplno v\u011bnovat fotografii a opou\u0161t\u00ed filmovou tvorbu, Alexander Hammid naopak upou\u0161t\u00ed fotografov\u00e1n\u00ed a naplno se v\u011bnuje filmov\u00e9 tvorb\u011b. Postupn\u011b se prosazuje samostatn\u011b jako re\u017eis\u00e9r, kameraman a st\u0159iha\u010d dokument\u00e1rn\u00edch film\u016f, v pr\u016fb\u011bhu \u0161edes\u00e1t\u00fdch a sedmdes\u00e1t\u00fdch let pak spolu s Francisem Thompsonem jako pr\u016fkopn\u00edk technicky n\u00e1ro\u010dn\u00fdch filmov\u00fdch form\u00e1t\u016f (IMAX). V roce 1965 z\u00edsk\u00e1v\u00e1 jejich film To Be Alive! \/ \u017d\u00edt! ocen\u011bn\u00ed americk\u00e9 filmov\u00e9 akademie Oskara jako nejlep\u0161\u00ed kr\u00e1tkometr\u00e1\u017en\u00ed dokument (Academy Award for Best Documentary Short Subject).
