Nov\u00e9 ohl\u00e9dnut\u00ed vydala Mark\u00e9ta Luska\u010dov\u00e1 vlastn\u00edm n\u00e1kladem. Podle autor\u010din\u00fdch webov\u00fdch str\u00e1nek jde o dev\u00e1tou bilan\u010dn\u00ed publikaci. Nazvala ji p\u0159\u00edzna\u010dn\u011b K zapamatov\u00e1n\u00ed: Pouli\u010dn\u00ed muzikanti Lond\u00fdna <\/em><\/strong>1975\u20131990<\/em>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

P\u0159\u00edsn\u011b vzato za\u010d\u00edn\u00e1 p\u0159\u00edb\u011bh v z\u00e1padn\u00edm Irsku na podzim 1973. Tam tehdy fotografku okouzlil star\u0161\u00ed mu\u017e muzic\u00edruj\u00edc\u00ed na ko\u0148sk\u00e9m trhu. A pr\u00e1v\u011b t\u00e9to vzpom\u00ednce se zd\u00e1 b\u00fdt kniha zasv\u011bcena. Sn\u00edmek irsk\u00e9ho houslisty je toti\u017e um\u00edst\u011bn proti vyzn\u00e1n\u00ed autorky: \u201eV m\u00e9m d\u011btstv\u00ed v \u010ceskoslovensku v pades\u00e1t\u00fdch letech \u017e\u00e1dn\u00ed muzikanti na ulic\u00edch nehr\u00e1li. Mysl\u00edm, \u017ee jedna z v\u011bc\u00ed, kter\u00e9 pro mne byly d\u016fle\u017eit\u00e9 a zp\u016fsobily, \u017ee Lond\u00fdn se stal m\u00fdm domovem, a ne exilem, byla hudba na ulic\u00edch.\u201c<\/p>\n

Mark\u00e9ta Luska\u010dov\u00e1 (1944) <\/strong>se ve Velk\u00e9 Brit\u00e1nii usadila v polovin\u011b sedmdes\u00e1t\u00fdch let. P\u0159edmluvou p\u0159ipom\u00edn\u00e1, \u017ee t\u011b\u017ei\u0161t\u011b alba vznikalo v dob\u011b, kdy voz\u00edvala syna v ko\u010d\u00e1rku. K n\u011bkolika hudebn\u00edk\u016fm se vracela \u010dast\u011bji a v knize jim v\u011bnovala zvl\u00e1\u0161tn\u00ed odd\u00edly uveden\u00e9 textov\u00fdmi medailonky.<\/p>\n

Sv\u00fdmi z\u00e1b\u011bry Luska\u010dov\u00e1 nekr\u00e1\u0161l\u00ed a nep\u0159ibarvuje. Mezi n\u00ed samotnou a fotografovan\u00fdmi z\u016fst\u00e1v\u00e1 pr\u016fzra\u010dn\u00e1 \u010distota, ji\u017e lze ale nakonec p\u0159ece jenom zaznamenat. Syrovost jako stylotvorn\u00fd prvek?<\/p>\n

Pro letos dovr\u0161en\u00fd kni\u017en\u00ed katalog Pra\u017esk\u00fd d\u016fm fotografie \/ 25 let<\/em> shrnula Mark\u00e9ta Luska\u010dov\u00e1 tv\u016fr\u010d\u00ed zku\u0161enost slovy: \u201eVlastn\u011b jsem cel\u00fd \u017eivot fotografovala v\u011bci a lidi, jejich\u017e existence mi byla bl\u00edzk\u00e1, na kter\u00fdch mi z\u00e1le\u017eelo: poutn\u00edky, \u0160umia\u010dany, d\u011bti, trhovce a muzikanty na lond\u00fdnsk\u00fdch ulic\u00edch, rozto\u010dsk\u00e9 ma\u0161kary. Cht\u011bla jsem o nich podat zpr\u00e1vu, cht\u011bla jsem, aby po nich alespo\u0148 fotografie zbyly. Fotoapar\u00e1t je \u00fa\u010dinn\u00fd n\u00e1stroj proti zapom\u00edn\u00e1n\u00ed. D\u00e1v\u00e1m si velkou pr\u00e1ci s form\u00e1ln\u00ed str\u00e1nkou m\u00fdch fotografi\u00ed. Mysl\u00edm si toti\u017e, \u017ee zapamatovateln\u00e9 jsou jen fotografie vizu\u00e1ln\u011b siln\u00e9.\u201c<\/p>\n

showcasing a collection of photographs of street musicians taken in London from 1975 up to 1990 with texts by John Berger, Marketa Luskacova and Professor Howard Bossen.<\/p>\n

Hardback 120 pages published in September 2016.<\/p>\n

\u2018The first street musician I ever met was at the horse fair in the West of Ireland on a cold autumn day in 1973 \u2013 an old man playing a violin between the horses. It was like an epiphany.<\/p>\n

A few years later I started to like in London close to Portobello Road Market. Street musicians played there frequently and the feeling of being in the in the presence of something precious stayed with me. The street musicians themselves were often quite lonely men, yet their music lessened the loneliness of the street, the people in it and my own loneliness\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018\u2026it takes me back eighty years to my childhood (in the 1930\u2019s), when I was disturbed and spellbound by the street-musicians I passed and stopped to listen to and watch. The word play had a double-sense for me. They played instruments or they sang in the street in the hope of getting money, survival money, from the passers-by. And I played games in order to escape and feel that I was elsewhere.\u2019<\/p>\n

Mark\u00e9ta Luska\u010dov\u00e1<\/strong> (*1944) is a Czech photographer known for her series of photographs taken in Slovakia, Britain and elsewhere. Considered one of the best Czech social photographers to date, since the 1990s she has photographed children in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland etc.<\/p>\n

In 1968 Luska\u010dov\u00e1 graduated from Charles University in Prague with a thesis on religion in Slovakia. During her stay in Slovakia, she became familiar with the old Christian rites and decided to return with a camera to document the surviving traditions. Her thesis was titled Pout\u011b na V\u00fdchodn\u00edm Slovensku (Pilgrimages in East Slovakia). In the Pilgrimages cycle she mainly focused on the Slovak village of \u0160umiac. Following that she studied photography at FAMU, in this period photographing in Slovakia and Poland.<\/p>\n

From 1970 to 1972, Luska\u010dov\u00e1 photographed stage performances of the Za branou theatre, founded by director Otomar Krej\u010da. However, the theatre was banned by communists in the spring of 1972. The same year, she was allowed to display the cycle Pilgrims in the Gallery of Visual Arts in Roudnice nad Labem (the curator of the exhibition was the photography theorist and art historian Anna F\u00e1rov\u00e1). In 1971, Luska\u010dov\u00e1 married the poet Franz H. Wurm (native of Prague and a British citizen). Wurm, terrified by the „Normalization“ in Czechoslovakia, left the country and Luska\u010dov\u00e1 asked the state authorities for permission to visit her husband abroad. After several short visits she received a form for emigration (1975) and went to live in England. However, in an interview she claimed: „Bohemia, Prague and \u0160umiac have never ceased to be my home. I always took my life abroad as a kind of stopgap that stretched to be a considerable part of my life.“<\/p>\n

In the 1970s and ’80s, the communist censorship attempted to conceal her international reputation. Her works were banned in Czechoslovakia, and the catalogues for the exhibition Pilgrims in the Victoria and Albert Museum were lost on their way to Czechoslovakia.<\/p>\n

Luska\u010dov\u00e1 started photographing London’s markets in 1974. In the markets of Portobello Road, Brixton and Spitalfields, she „[found] a vivid Dickensian staging“.<\/p>\n

In 2016 she self-published a collection of photographs of street musicians, mostly taken in the markets of east London, under the title To Remember – London Street Musicians 1975-1990 and featuring an introduction by John Berger.<\/p>\n

Narozena v\u00a0Praze V\u00a0r. 1944. Vystudovala sociologii kultury na Karlov\u011b Univerzit\u011b v Praze. Diplomov\u00e1 pr\u00e1ce v roce 1967 o tradi\u010dn\u00edch form\u00e1ch n\u00e1bo\u017eenstv\u00ed na Slovensku, pr\u00e1ce obsahovala fotografie poutn\u00edk\u016f. 1967 – 1969 studovala fotografii na FAMU v Praze. Od roku 1968 pracuje jako fotografka, svobodn\u00e9 povol\u00e1n\u00ed.<\/p>\n

St\u0159edn\u00ed \u0161kolu absolvovala v Chrudimi a v Praze, maturovala z \u010desk\u00e9ho a z rusk\u00e9ho jazyka, matematiky a z d\u011bjepisu. Pot\u00e9 vystudovala sociologii kultury na Karlov\u011b univerzit\u011b u Miroslava Dismana. V roce 1964 si koupila star\u0161\u00ed fotoapar\u00e1t Leica spolu s rusk\u00fdm \u0161iroko\u00fahl\u00fdm objektivem 5,6\/20 mm. S technikou fotografie j\u00ed zpo\u010d\u00e1tku radil Josef Koudelka. V letech 1964\u20131970 vytv\u00e1\u0159ela fotografick\u00fd cyklus Poutn\u00edci z n\u00e1bo\u017eensk\u00fdch pout\u00ed na Slovensku a v Polsku. Tyto fotografie pozd\u011bji pou\u017eila ve sv\u00e9 diplomov\u00e9 pr\u00e1ci v roce 1967. V letech 1967\u20131974 fotografovala \u017eivot ve slovensk\u00e9 vesnici \u0160umiac.<\/p>\n

V letech 1967-1969 studovala mimo\u0159\u00e1dn\u011b fotografii na FAMU. Kdy\u017e Josef Koudelka, v t\u00e9 dob\u011b fotograf Divadla za branou odch\u00e1zel do exilu, doporu\u010dil Otomaru Krej\u010dovi za sv\u00e9ho n\u00e1stupce pr\u00e1v\u011b Mark\u00e9tu Luska\u010dovou. Ta byla fotografkou divadla od roku 1970 a\u017e do jeho uzav\u0159en\u00ed komunistick\u00fdm re\u017eimem v roce 1972. Zde tak\u00e9 prob\u011bhla jej\u00ed prvn\u00ed v\u00fdstava fotografi\u00ed (Poutn\u00edci).<\/p>\n

V roce 1975 ode\u0161la do zahrani\u010d\u00ed, v roce 1977 se j\u00ed narodil syn Matthew Emmanuel. Od sedmdes\u00e1t\u00fdch let fotografovala v Anglii a Irsku, v letech 1975\u20132006 dokumentovala pouli\u010dn\u00ed trhy v Lond\u00fdn\u011b v cyklu Spitalfields. \u0160v\u00fdcarsk\u00fd fotograf Ren\u00e9 Burri ji nominoval na \u010dlenstv\u00ed v agentu\u0159e Magnum Photos, pro kterou fotografovala v letech 1976-1980[3]. \u010clenkou agentury se ale nestala. Od roku 1998 vytv\u00e1\u0159\u00ed fotografick\u00fd cyklus z \u010desk\u00fdch masopust\u016f. B\u011bhem pr\u00e1ce na tomto cyklu za\u010dala porv\u00e9 fotografovat barevn\u011b, prvn\u00ed barevn\u00e9 sn\u00edmky zve\u0159ejnila po roce 2009.<\/p>\n
