Lubo\u0161 Pln\u00fd is a Czech painter and a conceptual artist. Since he did not attend an art school, is completely self-taught and creating art often served him as a form of autotherapy, his work is often classified into art brut. The main focus of his art is on the human body, often with close attention to anatomy. This can be seen in his \u201canatomical self-portraits\u201d, forming a substantial portion of hi oeuvre. In these ink drawings, he slices his body into single layers, analyzing them in great detail. This elaborate way of recording his own body appears also in Pln\u00fd\u2019s conceptual projects, such as his long-term quest to obtain the title of \u201cAcademic model\u201d, during which he aimed to perfect his posture, art history knowledge and collected a broad range of medical data. In his diaries, he almost obsessively documents all his daily activities, information about his health and also astrological and meteorological data. In 2017, he was the only Czech artist presented at the international exhibition Viva Arte Viva!<\/em> at the 57th<\/sup> Venice Biennale. Some of the artworks presented were on loan from the French art brut collector Bruno Decharme\u2019s collection and from Centre Pompidou in Paris, which owns several of his pieces.\u00a0<\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Zam\u011b\u0159uje se zejm\u00e9na na lidsk\u00e9 t\u011blo, \u010dasto na jeho anatomii. Tuto tendenci m\u016f\u017eeme pozorovat v\u00a0jeho \u201eanatomick\u00fdch auto-portr\u00e9tech\u201c, kter\u00e9 tvo\u0159\u00ed z\u00e1sadn\u00ed \u010d\u00e1st jeho tvorby. V\u00a0t\u011bchto tu\u0161ov\u00fdch kresb\u00e1ch Pln\u00fd rozkl\u00e1d\u00e1 t\u011blo na jednotliv\u00e9 vrstvy a org\u00e1ny, kter\u00e9 velmi podrobn\u011b zkoum\u00e1. Tento propracovan\u00fd zp\u016fsob zkoum\u00e1n\u00ed vlastn\u00edho t\u011bla se objevuje i v\u00a0jeho konceptu\u00e1ln\u00edch projektech, jako byla nap\u0159\u00edklad jeho dlouhodob\u00e1 cesta k\u00a0z\u00edsk\u00e1n\u00ed titulu \u201eakademick\u00fd model\u201c, b\u011bhem n\u00ed\u017e si kladl za c\u00edl zlep\u0161it sv\u00e9 dr\u017een\u00ed t\u011bla a v\u011bdomosti z\u00a0d\u011bjin um\u011bn\u00ed a sesb\u00edral mnoho dat o sv\u00e9m t\u011blesn\u00e9m zdrav\u00ed. Ve sv\u00fdch den\u00edc\u00edch si skoro a\u017e obsedantn\u011b zaznamen\u00e1v\u00e1 sv\u00e9 ka\u017edodenn\u00ed aktivity, informace o sv\u00e9m zdrav\u00ed a astrologick\u00e1 a meteorologick\u00e1 data. V\u00a0roce 2017 byl Pln\u00fd jedin\u00fdm \u010desk\u00fdm um\u011blcem vystaven\u00fdm na mezin\u00e1rodn\u00ed v\u00fdstav\u011b Viva Arte Viva!<\/em> V\u00a0r\u00e1mci 57.
